Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g turkey meat in one piece
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 100 g rice

Wash the meat, pat dry, remove any tendons, and cut into 1 cm cubes. Chop the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions and garlic. Add the meat cubes and fry over high heat, stirring frequently. Sprinkle in the paprika and season generously with salt and pepper. Pour in water, cover, and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and eighth the tomatoes. Add the rice to the meat, transfer everything to a shallow ovenproof dish, and add enough boiling water to cover the ingredients. Place on the bottom rack of the oven preheated to 180°C. When the liquid begins to boil, cover the dish and simmer for about 20 minutes. Serve in the dish.
