Simple, delicious and variable

Cut the Romanesco into pieces, wash them, and sauté them in a pan. Cut the Maultaschen into strips and fry them. Heat the milk and vegetable stock and season with the herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix a little flour with water until smooth and use to thicken the sauce. Simmer for a few minutes. Grease a casserole dish and layer the ingredients: Maultaschen, sauce, cheese, and Romanesco. Repeat until all the ingredients are used up. Bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 60 minutes on the second rack from the bottom. Tip: You can use other ingredients instead of Maultaschen (potatoes, pasta, Schupfnudeln, dumplings, etc.), as well as vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, white cabbage, carrots, peas, etc.).
