Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • ½ bread roll, light
  • 2 garlic cloves, or more if desired
  • some saffron powder or safflower
  • 100 ml oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Bake the bell pepper in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. Peel the skin and let the pepper cool. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Place the bell pepper, garlic, crushed bread, and saffron in a mixing bowl. Beat everything with a mixer on low speed, slowly adding the oil. The rouille tastes great as a dip or with bouillabaisse.
