Italian roulades

Season the roulades with salt and pepper, top each with a slice of ham and two slices of processed cheese. Roll up and secure with skewers. Sear in a roasting pan (a skillet also works), dice the onions, and fry them. Deglaze with red wine and simmer for 10 minutes, then pour in the stock. Bring to a boil and add the gravy cubes. Cook on low heat for 1.5 hours, covered. Turn the roulades every 15 minutes. If desired, thicken with brown gravy thickener at the end.
