Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 150 g margarine
  • 200 g quark
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 200 g rusks
  • 100 g almonds (flaked almonds)
  • 6 egg whites

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

especially delicious on cold days

Whisk the margarine, sugar, and egg yolks until fluffy, then stir in the quark. Chop the rusks into small pieces and stir them into the quark mixture along with the almonds. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Dice the apples and mix with the sugar and cinnamon. Place the apples in a baking dish. Spread the rusk mixture on top. Bake at 200°C for about 35 minutes. Serve hot or cold with whipped cream.
