Russian minced meat dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • Salt
  • 10 g yeast
  • 100 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s), squeezed
  • 5 mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 200 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • butter
  • pepper
  • Parsley, chopped
  • Grease, for the sheet
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Make a dough from flour, yeast, salt, milk, sugar, and two eggs. Finally, add oil and let it rise for 30 minutes. Sauté the onions, garlic, mushrooms, and minced meat in oil and butter. Stir in the parsley and season. Let cool. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out 6 cm cookies. Place the filling in the center, fold it into a semicircle, and press firmly. Place on a greased baking sheet, brush with egg yolk, and let rise for 20 minutes. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
