- 40 g honey
- 80 g butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes
For the dough, knead the flour, yeast, salt, sugar, egg, and cream together, cover, and let rise at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough and place it in a springform pan. Either grease the pan beforehand or line it with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. For the topping, wash and peel the apples, remove the cores, and slice the flesh. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Place the apple slices on the dough. Grind the walnuts; they don’t need to be very fine. For the crumble, mix the flour with the walnuts and the cinnamon. Heat the honey and butter. Drizzle about 3 tablespoons of the honey-butter mixture over the apples, knead the rest with the flour mixture to form crumbles, and spread them over the apples. Place the apple pie in the oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes. Let it cool on a wire rack.
