Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g sheep’s cheese in one piece
  • 100 g flour (type 405)
  • 125 ml beer, dark
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

baked sheep’s cheese in beer batter

Combine the flour and beer and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Combine the egg yolks with the beer-flour mixture and a little salt. Then fold in the beaten egg whites. Halve the feta cheese and dip it into the beer batter. Then fry the cheese in a pan with simmering oil until the batter is golden brown. Remove the cheese from the pan – and you’re done. Tip: If the batter runs off the cheese too easily, fold in a little more flour.
