Salmon Fillet Grilled on Cedar Wood

The perfect salmon fillet grilled on cedar wood recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

garnish

  • 4 Pc. Garlic cloves
  • 30 g Ginger
  • Soy sauce
  • Olive oil
  • Cedar wood grill boards – untreated
  • 30 Pc. Potatoes fresh, unpeeled

Information about the grill boards

  1. Water the grill boards sufficiently – otherwise they will burn like tinder – approx. 2 – 3 hours. The grill board can catch fire while grilling. Therefore provide a spray bottle with extinguishing water.

preparation

  1. Peel the garlic and dice finely. Peel and finely dice the ginger. Rinse the salmon fillet, pat dry and divide into portions (that fit on the board!). Marinate the fish in ginger, garlic, soy sauce and oil. Put in a cool place and let it steep for at least 3 hours. Heat the grill to medium heat, briefly place the grill board on the grill, turn the wood and put on the fish. Close the lid and cook the fish for between 8 – 15 minutes (depends on the thickness of the pieces – and your personal taste!). May still be glassy!
