Salsa Picada – Chopped Sauce

The perfect salsa picada – chopped sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Basic Ingredients:

  • 2 Pc. Vine tomatoes
  • 1 Pc. Onion white
  • 1 Pc. Fresh lime
  • 1 Pc. Jalapeño green
  • 0,5 bunch Fresh smooth parsley
  • Alternatively coriander
  • 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Variations:

  • 1 Pc. Avocado
  • 1 Pc. Cucumber
  1. Wash and dry vegetables and parsley. Cut the tomatoes into slices and remove the seeds. Do the same with the jalapeño. Only the pulp is used here of everything. Pull out the onion.
  2. Cut or chop all ingredients into small pieces and mix together. Pour over the squeezed lime and season with sea salt and black pepper from the mill (not too fine) and let it steep for at least 1/2 hour.
  3. A simple and very tasty, but also spicy recipe that goes well with fajitas, borritos, taccos as well as grilled meat or pan-fried foods.
