Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 m.-large kohlrabi
  • 100 g double cream cheese
  • 150 g ham, raw, hearty, in slices
  • 3 tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • some basil, dried
  • 2 packs of mozzarella
  • 4 sprig(s) basil, fresh

Instructions

with kohlrabi

Peel the kohlrabi and cut into 6 slices each. Cook in salted water for 4-5 minutes until soft, remove from the oven and pat dry. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread generously with the cream cheese. Fold the ham slices together and place on top. Wash, dry, and slice the tomatoes. Place one slice on each ham. Place the baking sheet in the oven preheated to 220°C and bake everything on the middle rack for 10 minutes. Then season with salt, pepper, and dried basil. Place the sliced ​​mozzarella on top and bake for another 5 minutes. Lightly season with pepper and garnish with fresh basil to serve. Tip: You can also cut out the cooked kohlrabi slices using serrated cutters; it looks smart. Serve with risotto.
