Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg minced meat, mixed
  • 200 g smoked ham
  • 3 heads of sauerkraut (Sarmakraut)
  • 400 g rice
  • 3 large onions
  • 250 ml tomato juice, pure
  • 2 ½ tbsp pepper
  • 3 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp, leveled salt
  • 1 pepper, hot
  • ½ liter of water
  • 150 ml oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

simple and extremely delicious cabbage roll

Cook the rice with the salt in 500 ml of water. Finely chop the onion and fry until lightly browned, then add the paprika and fry for 1 minute. Mix the rice, minced meat, onion, and pepper well. Wrap everything in cabbage leaves. Add a little oil to a tall pot. Layer the cabbage rolls upright. Chop the peppers and mix with the tomato juice. Slice the smoked ham. Add the ham and tomato juice to the pot. Top up with water and bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for 1.5 hours. Shake the pot occasionally and add more water.
