Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 50 g butter
  • 75 g sugar
  • 200 g oat flakes, fine
  • 1 jar sour cherries

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 35 minutes

Drain the cherries. For the crispy flakes, toast the oats with 50g butter and 75g sugar in a pan. Let cool. Whip the cream until stiff. Mix the quark, sugar, vanilla sugar, rum, and milk. Then fold in the cream. Finally, layer the cherries, quark mixture, and crispy flakes in the jar. This makes about 10 jars.
