Satay skewers with peanut sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can peanuts, salted
  • 300 g pork fillet(s)
  • 1 bottle of sauce (sweet chili sauce)
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Oil (sunflower oil or sesame oil)
  • possibly milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Finger food

Soak the wooden skewers in water to prevent the meat from sticking. Cut the meat into thin slices (if you have a good butcher, just ask them). Make a marinade from a cup of soy sauce and the honey and marinate the meat strips in it for about an hour. In the meantime, use a hand blender to puree the peanuts with a generous splash of sweet chili sauce. Finally, add the crème fraîche and blend vigorously (if the sauce is too thick, simply add milk until smooth). Then thread the meat strips onto the skewers in a wavy pattern. Heat the oil in a pan and sear the skewers vigorously on both sides. Drain and serve with the peanut sauce.
