Sauerkraut and potato stew

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled, boiled, and diced
  • 200 g sauerkraut, cooked
  • 30 g ham, diced
  • ½ onion(s), chopped
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 dl vegetable broth, strong
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. cheese, grated, possibly

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

delicious stew with a gratin version

Briefly sauté the onions in a pan, add the diced ham, and cook briefly. Deglaze with the vegetable stock. Add the sauerkraut and potatoes and cook briefly. Finally, add the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. If you want to make a gratin (which is also delicious), transfer the whole thing to a gratin dish and top with grated cheese. Bake at approximately 200°C (400°F) until the cheese has melted and a crispy crust forms.
