Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 150 g butter, cold
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 700 g sauerkraut, well drained
  • 150 g ham, cooked
  • 150g salami
  • 150 g smoked pork cold cuts
  • 300 ml cream
  • 100 ml milk
  • 5 eggs
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Knead the dough from flour, butter flakes, egg, salt, and about 4-5 tablespoons of water. Refrigerate the dough for about 1 hour. Grease a springform pan and line it with the dough, forming a rim about 2 cm high. Finely chop the sauerkraut. Dice the ham, salami, and smoked pork. Layer the meat and sauerkraut alternately in the pan, with the sauerkraut being the last layer. Whisk together the cream, milk, and eggs and season with a little salt and pepper. Pour over the cake. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 40-45 minutes.
