Sauerkraut Frickies

The perfect sauerkraut frickies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Minced meat
  • 1 st Onion
  • 1 pack Wine sauerkraut 500g
  • 1 Egg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Salt, pepper, garlic salt, paprika powder
  • 3 Discs Toast
  • Chopped parsley
  • Butter, margarine or oil for the pan
  1. Cut 1 / 2 onions into very small cubes and add to the minced meat. Add breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, garlic salt, paprika powder (sweet) and / or other spices and mix everything together well. Last but not least, knead in (drained) wine sauerkraut in portions so that the cabbage is distributed throughout the mince. Now you can shape the meatballs and then sear them in a well-heated pan with melted butter. Let it steep in the pan at a low temperature. There is also boiled potatoes and roasted toast. I cut the remaining half of the onion roughly into small pieces and also sautéed it a little in the pan. If you want, you can stir up a little sauce. I didn’t do it because the frickies turned out nice and juicy.
  2. This recipe was created out of my free imagination and tasted super delicious! I wish all after-cookers a good appetite!
