Sauerkraut goulash

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g bacon, streaky, diced
  • 400 g pork goulash
  • 400 g beef goulash
  • 4 onions, finely diced
  • 1 can sauerkraut
  • 1 small can of tomato paste
  • 1 ½ liters of meat broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Fry the bacon and remove it from the pan. Brown the goulash in batches in the bacon fat, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and transfer to a pot. Sauté the diced onion and sauerkraut in the fat and add to the meat. Mix the tomato paste with the meat broth and pour over the goulash. Place the bay leaf on top. Cook everything in a covered pot for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
