Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 400 g smoked pork
- 500 g sauerkraut
- 550 g potatoes
- Water (salt water)
- 100 ml milk
- 50 g butter
- nutmeg
- 100 g cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cut the smoked pork into small cubes and place in a casserole dish. Spread 500g of sauerkraut on top. Boil 550g of potatoes in salted water until tender and mash with nutmeg, butter, and about 100ml of milk (use less milk if you prefer a firmer mashed potato). Spread this over the sauerkraut. Sprinkle the cheese over the top. Bake in the oven on the middle rack at 200°C for 30 minutes.
