Sausage – Cheese – Boat

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 300 g sausage (salami, Polish or similar)
  • 300 g cheese (Emmental)
  • Pickle(s)
  • 1 egg(s), for brushing
  • Tomato ketchup, for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the dough into squares approximately 8 cm long. Brush the edges with egg. Divide the sausage among the squares. Cut the cheese and gherkins into strips and place diagonally on top. Brush two ends of the dough with egg and join them together like a boat. Cut out small hearts from the remaining dough and press them on. Bake at 200°C (400°F) and garnish with ketchup, if desired. They look great at children’s birthday parties!
