Sausage Stroganoff

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g meat sausage
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 200 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 3 gherkins
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 250 g sweet cream
  • 100 ml white wine
  • salt and pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dice the sausage, peel and finely dice the onion, trim and slice the mushrooms, dice the gherkins, and slice the tomatoes (peel and deseed if desired). Brown the sausage in a large pan, then fry the onion. Add the mushrooms, gherkins, and tomatoes, and sauté thoroughly. Sprinkle with flour. Deglaze with the cream and add the white wine. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. This dish is delicious with pasta or rice. If you like, you can replace the sweet cream with sour cream or yogurt.
