Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika powder, mild
- ¾ tsp pepper, freshly ground
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 dl white wine
- 1 dl sweet cream
- 50 g butter
- 60 g walnuts, chopped
- 200 g cheese (Gruyère, medium-ripe)

for an aperitif, buffet or barbecue
Grease a 26 cm loaf pan. Heat the butter and let it cool. Combine the flour, salt, paprika, pepper, and baking powder in a bowl. Combine the eggs, white wine, cream, and butter, then add the nuts and cheese. Briefly mix to form a batter and pour into the prepared pan. Bake in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200°C for 35-40 minutes. Serve lukewarm or cold. A nice white wine or a light red wine goes well with the cake. The cake can be sliced and briefly toasted before serving. If children are attending, the white wine can be replaced with milk.
