Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

makes approx. 21 bars

Roughly chop the nuts in a blender and then mix thoroughly with the remaining ingredients. Spread the finished dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place another sheet of baking paper on top and press it down firmly with a second baking sheet or roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 2 cm. Peel off the top sheet of baking paper. Score the dough with a pizza cutter before baking so that the bars can be separated more easily after baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 150 °C (top/bottom heat) for about 50 minutes on the middle rack. Allow the bars to cool and then cut them. If kept airtight, the bars will keep for up to four weeks. Note: If you prefer thinner bars, simply divide the dough between two baking sheets and bake for a slightly shorter time. Other spices and herbs are also acceptable.
