Savoy Cabbage Chop Roll

The perfect savoy cabbage chop roll recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 piece Savoy
  • 500 g Mixed minced meat
  • 1 piece Bun old
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 toe Garlic fresh
  • 0,5 piece Red pepper
  • 100 g Feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Tomato paste
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon (level) Sweet paprika powder
  • Sea salt from the mill to taste
  • Milled pepper to taste
  1. Dismantle the sausage in the leaves, wash and remove the stalk. Bring about 3 liters of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Put the savoy cabbage leaves in the boiling water for 1 minute, remove, rinse immediately in a large bowl with cold water and drain in a sieve.
  2. Soak the rolls in water or milk and squeeze them out. Finely dice / chop the onion, garlic and paprika. Crumble the feta cheese. Mix everything together with the egg, mustard, tomato paste, paprika powder, salt and pepper and knead with the minced meat.
  3. Spread the pearling leaves on a baking mat and distribute the minced meat on top. Roll up as in the photo and place in a lightly oiled baking dish. Use an oil sprayer to spray some oil on the chopping roller. Bake / roast in a preheated oven at 175 ° C for approx. 45 – 60 minutes until golden brown.

Tip:

  1. If you use an oil sprayer, even when frying or searing meat in a pan, you need a lot less oil.
