Savoy Cabbage, Soy Slices, and Date Lasagna
The perfect savoy cabbage, soy slices, and date lasagna recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 100 g Fine soy shredded meat
- Vegetable broth
- 2 Pc. Onion
- 100 g Dates
- 3 Pc. Carrots, about 200 g
- 4 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 2 Cans Chopped tomatoes, 400 g each
- 0,5 bunch Parsely
- 1 tbsp Herbs of Provence
- Salt pepper
- 0,5 tsp Cinammon
- 0,5 tsp Chilli flakes or powder
- 1 head Savoy cabbage, approx. 750 g
- 1 Msp Nutmeg
- 200 ml Cream or condensed milk
- 50 g Cream cheese
- 10 Pc. Lasagne sheets
- 150 g Grated cheese
- Soak the soy slices in sufficient vegetable stock according to the package instructions and then drain well. Finely dice the onions, dates and carrots. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté onion and carrot cubes in it for a few minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste, let it roast briefly, then add the chopped tomatoes. Add chopped dates, Provence herbs, chopped fresh parsley, bring to the boil, season with salt, pepper, chilli and cinnamon and then simmer without a lid for about 15 minutes over medium to high heat while stirring.
- Quarter the savoy cabbage, remove the stalk and cut the quarters into fine strips. Heat the remaining olive oil in a saucepan, fry the savoy cabbage strips briefly and season with salt / pepper / nutmeg. Add 50 ml of vegetable stock and sauté in a closed pot for about 15 minutes. Add a little more water as needed. Then pour in the cream or alternative and let the cream cheese melt in it.
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees (or fan oven 200 degrees). Cover the bottom of a large baking dish with approx. 5 tablespoons of soy bolognese and spread a layer of lasagne sheets on top. Spread half of the savoy cabbage mixture on top and then add another layer of lasagne sheets. Put half of the remaining soy bolognese on top, then add the rest of the savoy cabbage and another layer of lasagne sheets. Spread the rest of the soy bolognese on top, then sprinkle with grated cheese. If you like, sprinkle a handful of pumpkin or sunflower seeds on top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes on the middle rack in the preheated oven.
