Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 40 g butter
  • 40 g bacon, cut into strips
  • 40 g onion(s), cut into strips
  • 800 g savoy cabbage, cut into strips
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g cheese, freshly grated (Emmental)
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Prepare well

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the bacon strips. Add the onions and savoy cabbage and fry. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in the vegetable stock, bring to a boil, and cook the savoy cabbage for about 10 minutes. Whisk the cream with the eggs and stir in the cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Place the savoy cabbage in a greased baking dish and pour the cream mixture over it. Bake for about 30 minutes.
