Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 savoy cabbage
- 1 large onion(s) or 1 vegetable onion
- 1 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
- 1 can of tomatoes, peeled
- some vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- some stalks of thyme, or shredded
- some butter or margarine or oil
- some salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Chop the onion into large pieces and fry in the fat in a large pot. Meanwhile, quarter the savoy cabbage, wash it, and cut it into strips. Add it to the fried onion cubes. Add the crushed garlic clove and the peeled tomatoes. Top up with a little vegetable stock and add a pinch of salt. Now add the 2 tablespoons of vinegar and the thyme. Simmer until the savoy cabbage is soft (this depends on the amount). This usually takes about 15-20 minutes for a medium-sized cabbage.
