delicious side dish in the style of the lazy student

Slice half a head of red cabbage with a sharp knife. Then, use a sharp knife to chop each piece again. Dice the onion. Heat the oil in a pan (around level 6 out of 10, but it doesn’t need to be too hot). When the oil is hot, sauté the onions for 1-2 minutes, then add the red cabbage. Cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spatula. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves, and add them to the red cabbage. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Depending on your taste and the main course, you can season the fried red cabbage with caraway, Tabasco, or other spices.
