Schnitzel from the oven

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 pork schnitzels or salmon slices
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • ¼ liter of oil (just enough)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

easy to prepare and very tender

Mix the breadcrumbs with the flour thoroughly. Halve the schnitzels; the salmon slices can remain as they are. Flatten slightly and season with salt and pepper. Coat well in the beaten egg and breadcrumb mixture, pressing down firmly. Mix 1/4 liter of oil with 2 teaspoons of paprika and brush the baking sheet with it. Spread the breaded schnitzels on the baking sheet and brush the tops with the oil and paprika mixture. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) and cook the meat pieces for about 25 minutes (turning the schnitzels halfway through if necessary). We served it with potato salad. It tastes just as good with croquettes and vegetables, or whatever you like, hot or cold!
