Low-calorie and wholesome alternative to chips and the like.
Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Mix the flour, salt, paprika, turmeric, fennel seeds, and caraway seeds and knead with the dissolved yeast until a smooth dough forms. Let it rise for about 30 minutes until it has doubled in size, then roll it out thinly. Cut into rectangles or triangles and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. This dough will serve approximately two baking sheets. Let it rise for another 30 minutes at about 50°C (fan oven). Brush individual pieces with water and sprinkle with seeds—fine oatmeal, sesame, or linseed are ideal—or simply leave them plain. Bake for 15 minutes at 160°C (top and bottom heat), then let it dry for another 15 minutes at 100°C (212°F) to crisp up the pieces.
