Scottish Trifle

The perfect scottish trifle recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Fresh strawberries
  • 1 pole Fresh rhubarb
  • 200 g Whole grain biscuits
  • 500 Milliliters Whipped cream
  • 4 tablespoon Sugar
  • 4 tablespoon Vanilla syrup
  • 15 Centiliters Whiskey
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  1. Clean and quarter the strawberries, cut the rhubarb stick into small pieces and mix with the strawberries. Add sugar and vanilla syrup, stir and marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile whip the cream with 7 cl whiskey until stiff. Crumble whole wheat biscuits. Spread the biscuit tubs in dessert glasses and drizzle 2 cl (or more) whiskey over them. Pour the strawberry-rhubarb mixture on top and top up with the whiskey cream. Decorate everything with a few chocolate bars and serve immediately.
