Sesame Rolls

The perfect sesame rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 650 g Wholemeal spelled flour
  • 1 dice Fresh yeast
  • 1 Tl Sugar
  • 1 Tl Salt
  • 2 El Sesame seeds
  • 2 El Oil
  • 400 ml Lukewarm water
  • Sesame seeds to sprinkle
  1. 2 Cover baking trays with baking paper. Roast 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds in a pan without fat, pour onto a plate and allow to cool.
  2. Dissolve the yeast with 1 teaspoon sugar.
  3. Mix the flour, salt and sesame seeds in a bowl. Add the oil and the dissolved yeast with the lukewarm water and knead with the mixer with a dough hook.
  4. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
  5. Then knead again. Separate small balls, knead again, form balls and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place on a baking sheet, leave a little space.
  6. Bake at 180 degrees hot air for about 20-25 minutes, then remove from the tray and let cool down.
  7. Depending on the size, the amount of dough is 10-12 pieces.
