Sesame Baguette Rolls
The perfect sesame baguette rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Flour
- 250 ml Lukewarm water
- 1 tsp Fresh yeast
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 50 g Margarine
- For painting :
- 1 Whisk egg white with 1 tablespoon water
- To sprinkle :
- Sesame seeds unroasted
- Put the yeast with the water and sugar in a bowl and stir until the yeast has dissolved. Add the salt and the butter. Now knead in the flour until you have a nice and no longer sticky dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.
- Dust a baking sheet with flour.
- Knead the dough briefly on a lightly floured work surface and shape the dough into 9 oblong baguette rolls of the same size. Now place these on the baking sheet, brush with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Let rest, covered, for another 45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (convection 180 degrees).
- Bake the baguette rolls in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
