Sesame Baguette Rolls

The perfect sesame baguette rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Flour
  • 250 ml Lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp Fresh yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 50 g Margarine
  • For painting :
  • 1 Whisk egg white with 1 tablespoon water
  • To sprinkle :
  • Sesame seeds unroasted
  1. Put the yeast with the water and sugar in a bowl and stir until the yeast has dissolved. Add the salt and the butter. Now knead in the flour until you have a nice and no longer sticky dough.
  1. Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.
  1. Dust a baking sheet with flour.
  1. Knead the dough briefly on a lightly floured work surface and shape the dough into 9 oblong baguette rolls of the same size. Now place these on the baking sheet, brush with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Let rest, covered, for another 45 minutes.
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (convection 180 degrees).
  1. Bake the baguette rolls in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
