Sharpen scissors – that’s how it works

To get your household scissors sharp again, all you need is a large piece of plain aluminum foil. Follow the guide below and sharpen your scissors quickly and easily.

1. Tear off a large piece of aluminum foil from the foil roll.
2. Fold the piece in half several times until there are about eight layers of aluminum foil on top of each other.
3. Use blunt scissors to cut narrow strips from the folded piece of foil.
4. Cut strips from the foil until you notice that the two cutting edges are close together again.
5. Test the result on a piece of paper. If the scissors are not sharp enough, continue to cut strips of the folded aluminum foil until the scissors cut well again.
