Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg pork schnitzel
- 1 medium-sized red bell pepper(s)
- 1 medium-sized bell pepper(s), green
- 1 medium-sized bell pepper(s), yellow
- 400 g smoked belly
- 2 large onions
- 3 bottles of ketchup, various varieties (e.g. tomato, curry, spice ketchup …)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
how we love them
Cut all ingredients into cubes (as you would for shashlik). Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Sear the meat in oil until crispy. Then add the vegetables and smoked pork belly. Mix the ketchup varieties together in a bowl and pour over the seared meat and vegetables. Mix well. Place the pan in the preheated oven at 180°C and simmer for about 1 hour. Stir occasionally. We like to serve this with fries. Baguette or rice are also delicious.
