Shrimp in a spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 onions, approx. 120 g
  • 1 garlic clove(s), possibly 2
  • olive oil
  • 350 ml Arrabiata tomato sauce
  • ½ tsp oregano, shredded
  • ½ tsp thyme, shredded
  • 100 g Brunch Tomato Ricotta
  • 225 g shrimp(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • chili flakes
  • possibly tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onion and garlic, cut the onion into half rings and dice the garlic. Heat olive oil in a pan or saucepan and fry the onion rings until golden brown. Add the tomato sauce, diced garlic, and herbs. Mix everything together. Simmer for a few minutes. Then add the brunch and melt while stirring. Simmer briefly on low heat. Stir in the shrimp and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked. Season to taste. If desired, thicken the sauce with a little tomato paste. Serve the shrimp in plenty of tomato sauce with pasta.
