Shrimp in Metaxa tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g shrimp(s)
  • 3 tbsp Metaxa
  • 1 can of tomatoes
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 250 ml whipped cream
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 small onions, red
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp processed cheese
  • e.g. rosemary
  • n. B. herbal mixture, e.g. 8 herbs
  • n. B. Oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Dice the onions and garlic and fry in oil until translucent. Then add the shrimp and fry with the tomato paste. Deglaze with the Metaxa and simmer briefly. Add the tomatoes, cream, cream cheese, and crème fraîche and simmer. Season with salt and pepper and the herbs, and stir in the processed cheese.
