Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g stale bread rolls
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ bag(s) of baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

from stale rolls

Crumble the rolls into a bowl and pour over 200 ml of hot water (preferably the night before). Once the rolls have softened, knead them with the eggs and salt until smooth. Mix the flour with the baking powder and fold in. With wet hands, form long dumplings, about the size of a teaspoon. Then place them in boiling salted water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes.
