Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g smoked belly
- 250 g fruit (dried fruit)
- some butter
- salt and pepper
- lemon juice
- Flour
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Soak the dried fruit overnight in half a liter of water. Cook the meat in a liter of boiling salted water for about an hour. Then add the soaked dried fruit and cook until tender. Make a roux with a little flour and butter, deglaze with broth, and season with salt, sugar, and lemon juice. Remove the meat and dried fruit from the broth in the other pot, slice the meat, and place it on a platter with the fruit, then pour the sauce over it. This is served with Polish dumplings.
