Simple Beef Stew with Shot

The perfect simple beef stew with shot recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Beef goulash
  • 400 g Carrots
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Tomato paste
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3 Stems Fresh thyme
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • Red wine
  • 1 Beef stock cubes
  • 1 kl. Chilli fresh
  • 1 shot Port wine
  • Oil and butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • Flour
  1. Fry the meat with oil and butter until it is light brown all over and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add onions, carrots and tomato paste and fry briefly. Then deglaze with wine (amount to taste) and let it boil down. Add the laurel, thyme and a little water.
  3. Bring everything to the boil once and then simmer over a medium heat for 1.5 hours. In between, add the remaining ingredients and at the end I thickened it with something (flour and water).
