Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 pack of hand cheese (quargel), approx. 150 g
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pack of low-fat curd cheese, approx. 200 g
  • Salt
  • n. B. Caraway

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Cut or break the quark into small pieces and melt with the milk and butter over low heat, stirring continuously. Combine the low-fat quark and egg, then stir the mixture into the melted quark and bring to a boil, stirring continuously. While cooking, don’t forget to check the sides of the pot; the mixture sticks to the pot and can burn quickly. Season with salt and caraway seeds to taste. Season sparingly; the quark is great on bread. Let the quark cool. Transfer to a small bowl and cover.
