Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml water, lukewarm
  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 2 packets of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp bread spice mix
  • 2 bags of walnuts, whole
  • 600 g flour (rye)
  • 600 g flour
  • Fat for the mold
  • Flour for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Combine flour, salt, dry yeast, and spice mix in a bowl and mix well. Combine with buttermilk and warm water and knead into a dough (e.g., in a food processor with a dough hook or knead by hand). Add the walnuts and pour the dough into a greased and floured loaf pan. Cover and let rise for about 1/2 hour. Then place in a bowl of water in the preheated oven. First, bake for about 40 minutes in the preheated oven at 200°C, then reduce the temperature and bake for another 20 minutes at 150°C.
