  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 ball of mozzarella
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp, levelled sugar
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. oregano
  • 70 g butter, melted
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • n. B. Herbs, Italian
  • n. B. cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Knead the flour, yeast, water, salt, sugar, and oil into a dough, cover, and set aside (for at least 30 minutes). In the meantime, peel and finely dice the onion, and peel and chop 4 garlic cloves. Sauté together in a saucepan. Add the tomato paste and fry. Deglaze with the chopped tomatoes and season with salt, pepper, sugar, and herbs. Melt the butter and add 6 crushed cloves of garlic and herbs, and set aside. Finely dice the mozzarella, place in a small bowl, mash well with a fork, and mix well with the cream cheese. Divide the dough into 10-12 equal pieces, rub them all over with the garlic butter, and layer them side by side in a baking dish or 28cm springform pan until you have a closed circle or a closed triangle/square/pentagon/hexagon—the main thing is that they are closed. Now place the mozzarella and cream cheese mixture in the center and pour the tomato sauce on top. Place everything in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) on the lower shelf for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, sprinkle with grated cheese and return to the preheated oven on the middle rack for another 15 minutes. The baking time may vary depending on the oven, the thickness of the dough, etc., so just pierce it with a wooden skewer. You can, of course, add salami or something similar.
