Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g flour
- 100 ml water, lukewarm
- 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 onion(s)
- 330 g tartar
- 2 bell peppers
- 1 egg(s)
- 100 ml water
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 100 g sheep’s cheese (45% fat)
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 hours; Total time approx. 20 hours 40 minutes
Mix flour with lukewarm water, yeast, sugar, and salt to form a dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes. Finely chop the onion and fry in a pan with the tartar until fat-free. Dice the bell peppers and stir into the meat along with the egg, water, and breadcrumbs. Dice the feta cheese, mix in, and season with salt and pepper. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf. Roll out the risen yeast dough thinly and wrap the meat loaf in it. Place the strudel on a baking tray lined with baking foil (or baking paper) and bake in a preheated oven on the middle rack at 200 degrees (gas mark 3) for about 30 minutes. For WW fans: 6 people per person.
