Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g pork schnitzel, 8 rösti wedges (frozen)
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 80 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 3 tbsp water, cold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fry the rösti in a hot pan until golden brown. Cut the schnitzel into thin strips. Clean the mushrooms and slice them thinly. Peel the onions and chop them into large pieces. Heat the oil and brown the meat on all sides. Season with salt and pepper. Add the mushrooms and onions and season again. Deglaze with white wine and cream. Bring the schnitzel to a boil. Mix cornstarch with 3 tablespoons of cold water until smooth. Use this to thicken the schnitzel. Place the rösti in a baking dish, top with the schnitzel, and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 8-10 minutes. Serve immediately.
