Slovenian milk soup

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 liter milk, low-fat or whole milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 150 g flour
  • Sugar, and/or cinnamon, and/or cocoa or chocolate

Instructions

A quick and easy, warming meal for the cold season; a typical Slovenian farmer’s dish

In a bowl, mix the egg with the flour and knead until small lumps form. Bring 1 liter of milk with 1 teaspoon of salt to a boil and simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes until the lumps are soft. Stir frequently. Add sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate, and/or cinnamon to taste, or salt for a spicy kick. A delicious, quick, simple, and filling soup. Ideal when you need something warm and easy, for example, after a walk in the cold.
