Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 6 tbsp flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp oil, neutral (e.g. sunflower oil)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- broth
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
as a soup garnish
Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. The dough should have a consistency that’s only slightly sticky (a bit stickier than yeast bread dough). Using two moistened teaspoons, form small dumplings and add them to the prepared soup or broth. Let them simmer for about 10 minutes at the lowest temperature. I like to add these dumplings to clear beef or chicken soup. You can also prepare them separately in a little vegetable broth and serve them with the soup. My children love to eat soup with these dumplings.
