Smoked pork with apple sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 apples, sour
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil (soybean oil)
  • 2 Kasseler cutlets, each approx. 180 g
  • 2 sprigs curly parsley
  • 75 ml cider
  • 100 g whipped cream
  • 1 tbsp mustard, grainy
  • Salt and pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion. Wash, quarter, and core the apples; cut the apples into pieces and drizzle with lemon juice. Heat the oil and sear the chops vigorously for 3 minutes on each side. Add the onion and apple pieces and continue to cook for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Wash and chop the parsley. Remove the chops from the pan and keep warm. Deglaze the apple pieces with the cider and cream, stir in the mustard and parsley. Season generously with salt and pepper and serve with the chops. Serve with new potatoes!
