Smoked salmon on German garden vegetables

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 600 g smoked salmon
  • 1 kg potatoes, floury, diced
  • 1 kg carrot(s), diced
  • 750 g onion(s), diced
  • ½ turnip(s) or garlic
  • 100 ml water
  • 75g margarine or Rama Culinesse
  • 1 bunch parsley or rosemary, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Heat the margarine in a large pot and sauté the diced vegetables for about 10 minutes. Add 100 ml of water and season with salt and pepper. Slice the smoked pork and place on top. Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. Then remove the smoked pork from the pot, season the vegetables again with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with parsley. Variation: If you like, you can replace the turnip with fresh garlic and the parsley with rosemary.
