Ingredients

  • 300 g Dates
  • 150 g Raisins or dried apple rings
  • 250 g Oatmeal
  • 100 g Flaxseed crushed
  • 150 g Buckwheat
  • 150 g Sunflower seeds
  • 125 g Pumpkin seeds
  • 3 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp Cinnamon
  • Coconut oil for brushing

Instructions

  • Simmer the seedless dates with the apple rings and 2 cups of water in a small saucepan for approx. 5 minutes until soft. If you use raisins instead of apple rings, they don't have to be simmered. Then mix the date, apple rings and water mixture in a blender with chia seeds and cinnamon to a paste.
  • Mix the remaining ingredients and pour the date mixture over them. Everything should be sticky when mixed. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brushed with oil. For me that was exactly enough for 1 large sheet. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees top / bottom heat (or convection 160 degrees) on the middle rack for about 20 minutes. Remove and cut into squares or bars, then bake for another 10-15 minutes at the same temperature.
  • This is a basic recipe, so to speak. So you can exchange the grains and kernels as you like, only the proportions should remain the same.
